Message from the Principal

Warm Greetings to all!

At the beginning of the academic year 2018-19, let me extend my best wishes to all the staff and students! Recently, one of our alumni made us proud by enrolling into the famous Masachusets Institute of Technology, US as a Research Associate. This is an indication that the institution has started reaching the prestigious institutions by sustained efforts. Another former student made headlines in the media for upholding our cultural tradition in art even when occupying a senior position at the IT global leader Microsoft. One of our final year CSE students was behind the design of the web portal www.keralarescue.in, dedicated to disaster relief activities in the state. Improvements in infrastructure has made it possible to conduct pooled placement drives, online examinations, such as KVPY, KPSC, etc.   Efforts for getting NBA

Accreditation are in full swing. We are one of the 18 colleges in the sate who have completed the first phase under PM YUVA scheme for promoting entrepreneurship. Some of the final year projects of the 2018 batch have the potential to become profitable industries. Informal initiatives such as Maintenance club and Selfie from the EEE students, Spectrum talk by IEEE members, Hobby Electronics club from ECE etc., are worth mentioning.

Consultancy services under the Centre for Continuing Education has started picking up. A course under the Additional Skill Development Program (ASDP) will be launched shortly.

On the infrastructural aspect, the construction work for the Boys hostel is nearing completion. Technical sanctions for the Staff Hostel and new Electrical Engineering Block will be received shortly and the construction will then begin. An integrated sports complex is on the anvil. Steps for getting ISO certification have been initiated. A master plan to upgrade the institution to a Center of Excellence has been submitted for the Government's approval.
