Warm Greetings to all!.
Fresh hopes of a bright future keep us going in the post-pandemic era. Lessons leart well should make us better citizens who are responsible towards nature and fellow beings. Being one of the worst affected segments by COVID-19, the technical education sector should take up the duty of exploring various means of technological interventions to improve quality of life and to reducing human suffering. Typical domains are agriculture and healthcare in the country. Collaboration among different knowledge systems is essential to make the country reach among the best in the world.
All indicators point to a future in which we have to live with many viral organisms and hence we have to prepare accordingly by modifying our behaviour, and age old practices. Such changes will surely impact the employment scenario also. We can be self reliant in many technological domains, especially in the defence industry and thus boost the economy. Hence the faculty shall focus their research efforts towards these areas and motivate the students to come up with innovations. We must also create demand for local products to help the micro, small and medium scale industries, particularly in consumables. Efforts to improve the quality of local products to make them globally competitive must also go hand in hand.
I am also happy to announce that we have been recommended to be a host institution for the MSME startup scheme, with support for infrastrucutre and grant for selected incubatees. This might be a game changer in the history of our institution.
