Warm Greetings to all!.
Hope you are all safe and healthy during this unprecedented pandemic situation, and that everyone is extending possible help to those suffering. Being one of the worst affected segments by COVID-19, the education sector is actively exploring alternative methods for content delivery, student evaluation, and effective engagement of human resources. All indications point to a future in which we have to live with the Corona virus and hence we have to prepare accordingly for the imminent paradigm shift, by modifying our behaviour, and age old practices. Such changes will surely impact the employment scenario also.
Challenges of such proportions bring golden opportunities as well. We can be self reliant in many technological domains and thus boost the sagging morale of the industry. Technology interventions in healthcare, agriculture, food processing and manufacturing processes will be the prime areas of attention. Hence the faculty shall focus their research efforts towards these areas and motivate the students to come up with innovations in them. We must also create demand for local products to help the micro, small and medium scale industries, especially in consumables. Efforts on improving the quality of local products to make them globally competitive must also go hand in hand.
I request all of you to abide by the directives of the Government and stand together to tide over the crisis.
