The student branch of IEEE was started on 7th January 2005 with 38 members and Dr. P.C. Reghuraj [Professor, Dept. of CSE] as the Branch Counselor. Now the branch have 44 student members. The student branch conducts regular meetings at least twice in a month in which the branch activities and technical topics are discussed.

The branch has subscribed the IEEE-Student-Branch-Magazine-Package [includes more than 30 international publications] with the assistance from Alumni association.

Student branch has a software design team. Some of the software created are available in the 'Products' link. The college website is also maintained by the student branch.

It also has a IEEE-Women in Engineering Student Branch - Affinity Group.

The student branch participated in almost all the IEEE events in Kerala.
